The law firm of Banks, Stubbs, & McFarland is pleased to announce that Mitchell (“Mitch”) M. McKinney has joined the firm as of-counsel. Prior to joining Banks, Stubbs, and McFarland, Mitch was the founding partner of the law firm of Mitchell M. McKinney, P.C. from 2005 to 2019. Before this, Mitch practiced with Patterson and Hansford and Jarrard & Davis as an Assistant County Attorney for Forsyth County. Mitch was also a former Assistant District Attorney with the Athens-Clarke County District Attorney’s office. Mitch is licensed to practice in Georgia and is also a member of the State Bar of Alabama. He is licensed to practice in all courts within Georgia and Alabama including the Middle and Northern Districts of Georgia. Mr. McKinney is a graduate of Mercer University, where he majored in Economics, and the University of Alabama School of Law.
Mitch is a previous President of the Forsyth County Bar Association and member of the Lanier Forsyth Rotary Club. He practices primarily in the areas of family law including divorce, child custody and child support/alimony, criminal defense and personal injury.
